The Shuttle is designed to operate in a pallet rack having specially designed rails that serve both as pallet positioning and as the runway for the shuttle. Compared to conventional storage systems the Shuttle system gives many advantages, such as better volume utilization and less damage to the rack and goods due to less handling by a forklift.
The Shuttle is battery powered and operates wirelessly via a radio transmitter in the forklift. Sensors in the Shuttle indicate the bottom boards of the pallet and when the Shuttle is positioned under the pallet, it will lift the pallet and bring it into the rack.
The Shuttle can be built to fit for almost any pallet size and shape. Our 4-wheel Shuttle can handle loads up to 1500kg and our 8-wheel boogie version can handle loads up to 2000kg.
